Introduction

The Colorado Blueliners Booster Club (CBBC) established the grant process to encourage club members to become more involved in setting the direction of the CBBC's participation in supporting the sport of hockey. It will allow the CBBC to seek out and support hockey-related needs.

The following must be submitted to the Colorado Blueliners Community Fund Committee (CBCFC), before any Community Fund Request (CFR) will be considered.

  1. Letter or proposal, stating specific project for funding and requested amount
  2. Completed Colorado Blueliners Booster Club Community Fund Request Form.
  3. Copy of your organization's Federal exemption letter from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) indicating exemption under sections 501(c)(3) or 509(a)(1), if applicable.

Grant Process

All Community Fund Requests (CFR) will be accepted during the club year (October - September). The CBCFC will review completed requests no more than once per month, unless extreme conditions dictate. The CBCFC may have questions, which must be answered by the requesting organization within a specified timeline. The CBCFC will vote to recommend funding of a request. Those requests approved by the CBCFC will be recommended to the Board of Directors for their approval, then will be brought to the general membership for final approval. Final approval shall be an approve/disapprove vote of the membership (in good standing) at the given General Membership meeting. When all conditions are met, the monies will be requested via the CBCFC with signatures from a quorum of the members, including the Board of Directors liaison, and submitted for payment to the Treasurer for payment within 30 days.

Priority consideration is given to projects with:

The CBCFC votes whether to fund the funding request within the existing fiscal budgetary considerations. Subsequent funding requests may be submittede; however, only one request per calendar year will be approved.
